Description
“A newborn sees differently than a small child or an adult. Newborns don’t see colors, only different
shades of gray, their vision is still dim, they cannot focus on anything more than 20-30 cm away, rather they only notice lights and contrasts. At the age of two weeks, the baby can already notice bright colors and large shapes. The higher the contrast, the more likely you will notice it. In the first few months, the vision begins to sharpen, and after a few weeks babies can also see colors. Approx. by the age of six months, their visual acuity and color vision are fully developed. By the age of 9-12 months, the child already sees the objects and people around him clearly and in color, and children reach their full development of vision by the time they reach school. It can be of great help in the development of a newborn’s vision if we use monochrome contrast images for development. Black-and-white images with high-contrast motifs and color-contrast images, where black-and-white is combined with e.g. red in the various images, are suitable for this. quot;
